Funding

All 3 to 4 year olds in Oxfordshire are entitled to free 15 hours early education and childcare.  Any extra sessions that your child attends are charged at £5.30 per hour.

Children are eligible from the term following their third birthday. 

Date of 3rd birthday                      Government-funded pre-school entitlement starts from 

1 April - 31 August                          Term 1 - September

1 September - 31 December    Term 2 - January

1 January - 31 March                    Term 3 - April

HELP PAYING FOR YOUR CHILDCARE - Government help with childcare costs for parents.

• 30 hours childcare - for eligible working families in England with children aged 9 months - 4 years.
• 15 hours childcare for all families in England - for all families in England with children aged 3 to 4 years.
• 15 hours for 2 year olds receiving support - 15 hours early learning for families in England.

Is your child two?

If your child is two (for families receiving some additional forms of government support) you may qualify for 15 hours of free early education - visit Oxfordshire County Council's website early education for two-years old
