Pre-school Fox Cubs

In September 2021, Longworth School created an Early Years Unit by merging the existing on site Pre-school with the Reception Class. We have been working hard to create an exciting, stimulating and creative environment to enable children to develop and learn through explorative play.

The Early Years Unit is made up of children in two age ranges:

Pre-school (ages 2-4) and Reception (ages 4-5).

This gives the Pre-school children a flavour of school life in an engaging and stimulating setting. 

·      They make good relationships with school staff, not only in the Early Years Unit, but throughout all Key Stages.

·      Children have begun to develop an understanding of our school values.

·      Children will have a clear understanding about what is expected from them in school.
